The Art of Colleen Baker-Huber
Bio
A Few Words about Colleen Baker-Huber/Fine Artist
A fine artist and graphic artist, Colleen’s dream was to own an art gallery in Laguna Beach, known as Coco Bien Objet d’ Art. She started the gallery after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in fine art at the age of 55. Providing graphic art for advertising firms as a freelancer, Colleen went to work at Disneyland in the late 1950s as a portrait artist. To prove her ability, she had to paint multiple portraits in a timed performance on stage. While she often had lunch with Roy Disney, she never seemed to recognize Walt, and often offered to do his portrait. Colleen’s work has won numerous awards from San Bernardino, to Hollywood, and to Laguna. Her work is in the collections of prominent Hollywood movie stars. One of her pieces is in the Vincent Price Private Art Collection.
